Privacy Policy — Humidor
Last updated: 23 August 2026
Humidor is a personal cigar inventory app, published by Dimmel. This policy describes exactly what it does with information, which is very little.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter — humidors, cigars, purchases, prices, merchants, notes, ratings, smoke history, wishlist entries and photographs — is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server belonging to this app. Nothing is uploaded anywhere by default.
The app contains no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking or profiling of any kind.
Backups you create
Android's own backup service may copy the app's database and small thumbnail images to your Google account, under Google's terms, if you have backup enabled in your device settings. Full-size photographs are deliberately excluded from that copy.
If you use Settings → Export backup, the app writes a file to a location you pick. That file contains your whole collection, photographs included. Where it goes and who can read it is entirely under your control.
This version contacts no other services
This version of Humidor makes no network requests at all. It has no account, no sign-in, no server of its own, and it sends nothing to anyone. Everything you enter stays on your device unless you export a backup file yourself.
Two optional integrations — looking a cigar's blend up automatically, and reading temperature and humidity from Aqara sensors — are built but switched off in this release and cannot be reached from anywhere in the app. If a future version turns either on, this policy will describe it before that version ships, and the Play data-safety declaration will be updated to match.
Permissions
- Internet / network state — declared, but unused in this version.
It is requested because a Google support library (
androidx.work, used for scheduling) declares it and Android merges that into the app's permission list. Nothing here opens a connection. - Notifications — used only for the alert you ask for: a cigar running low. Requested when you set a low-stock threshold, not at launch. Decline it and the cigar still saves; only the alert is lost.
The app does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone, or camera. When you attach a photograph, the system camera or photo picker hands the image over; the app never has access to your wider photo library.
Children
Humidor concerns tobacco products and is not directed at children. It is not designed for, marketed to, or intended for use by anyone under the legal smoking age.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app removes everything it holds. Clearing the app's storage in Android settings does the same while keeping the app installed. Because there is no server, there is nothing else to delete and no request to make of anyone.
Changes
Any future change to this policy will be published here with a new date at the top.
